Introducing a new Gallery to the Bega Valley

The Crossing Gallery aims to promote local and emerging artists and is looking to build a network with artists and other galleries to showcase contemporary local art.

Candelo is a perfect location to capture an audience of holiday makers travelling from Canberra and Sydney, and compliments other galleries located along the coast of the Bega Valley. It also extends the current “art trail” in the Valley and provides another opportunity for local artists to display their work.

The Gallery is a quaint heritage building that provides an intimate, light-filled indoor space for work to be displayed, opening out onto a deck and sculpture garden.

Gallery owner Anne Hopper is an artist in her own right having graduated from Sydney College of the Arts and exhibited her work in a number of Sydney galleries.

She has also curated several exhibitions.

Anne is keen to promote arts in the local community and to demonstrate to visitors the wealth of talent in this region.
